Until recently, creating a consistent AI character required using several separate tools. One program generated the face, a second trained the model, a third improved the picture and a fourth turned it into a video. Every transfer of material between apps meant more settings, exports, subscriptions and a risk of losing the hero’s consistency.
OpenArt tries to combine the whole process in one environment. The platform lets you generate images, design repeatable characters, create AI influencers, animate photos, generate videos, modify existing recordings, sync lips with a voice, improve the quality of materials and create whole stories with consistent heroes.
As late as 2025, OpenArt was associated mainly with an image generator, training your own models and access to different versions of Stable Diffusion. In 2026 the platform is much more extensive. It offers over 100 image, video and audio models, Character Builder, AI Influencer Generator, Smart Shot, One-Click Story, Motion Sync, Lip Sync, Video to Video and tools for building controlled worlds and multi-scene stories.
OpenArt’s biggest advantage is therefore not a single model. In this category, tools change very quickly, and a solution considered the best today may be replaced by the next generation in a few months. The platform’s advantage is the ability to use many models and guide a character through the whole production process in one place.
This doesn’t mean, however, that every generation will be ready for publication straight away. Character consistency still requires checking, advanced videos use more credits, and the large number of available features can be overwhelming at first.
In this review, we check how OpenArt works, what images and videos can be created in it, whether it is suitable for AI influencers, how much it costs and whether it’s worth using in 2026.
What is OpenArt?
OpenArt is an online creative studio that uses generative artificial intelligence to create and edit images, videos, characters, sounds and visual stories.
The user is not limited to one model. Depending on the project, they can choose different image, video and audio generators, compare their results and use saved characters in subsequent materials.
The platform includes, among other things:
- generating images from text,
- generating images based on references,
- editing existing photos,
- creating consistent characters,
- designing AI influencers,
- training your own models,
- generating videos from text,
- animating photos,
- transforming one video into another,
- motion synchronisation,
- lip synchronisation,
- generating sound effects,
- upscaling videos,
- creating multi-scene stories,
- building controlled 3D worlds.
OpenArt can be used by social media creators, agencies, brands, filmmakers, designers, storytellers, online stores and people developing virtual influencers.
You can check the platform’s capabilities via OpenArt for creating AI images, characters and videos. A new user can start with trial access and try selected models before buying a subscription.
How does OpenArt work?
The process depends on the type of project. The user can start from a prompt, a reference image, a saved character, a video, an audio recording or a wizard that guides them step by step.
In the simplest variant, the process looks as follows:
- The user chooses an image or video generator.
- They type a prompt or add reference material.
- They choose the model, aspect ratio and settings.
- They generate several proposals.
- They refine the chosen version.
- They save the character or material.
- They use it at the next stage of the project.
For example, when creating an AI influencer, you can first design the face in Character Builder. Then save the character, generate a series of photos with it, prepare a vertical video, add a voice and apply Lip Sync.
In one environment, you can therefore go from a description of a character to a finished video publication. You don’t always have to download a file and upload it again to another app.
OpenArt Suite, or one environment instead of many generators
OpenArt Suite was created to reduce the fragmentation of the creative process. Instead of opening separate tabs for images, videos, audio and editing, the user can keep the project’s elements in one place.
This is especially important when working with characters. Consistency is harder to maintain when each model receives different photos, prompts and settings.
OpenArt lets you save:
- characters,
- images,
- styles,
- models,
- stories,
- reference materials,
- earlier generations.
As a result, a chosen hero can be reused without designing their appearance from scratch.

AI image generator
The image generator remains one of OpenArt’s most important elements. The user can create images from scratch or work with reference material.
Depending on the chosen model, you can prepare:
- photorealistic portraits,
- product photos,
- advertising graphics,
- illustrations,
- fantasy images,
- anime,
- 3D models,
- posters,
- thumbnails,
- storyboards,
- interior concepts,
- social media materials.
The large number of models lets you match the way of generating to the task. A model that handles a realistic face well won’t always be the best for graphics containing text. Another generator may preserve a product better, and yet another create cinematic light.
That is exactly why access to many solutions in one subscription can be more practical than choosing one model for all tasks.
What image models are available?
The range of models changes very quickly. In 2026, OpenArt offers, among others, solutions from the families:
- GPT Image,
- Nano Banana,
- Flux,
- Ideogram,
- Seedream,
- Grok Imagine,
- Stable Diffusion,
- Wan Image.
Each model may have several variants that differ in quality, speed and credit cost.
Before starting a larger project, it’s worth testing the same prompt in several models. This lets you check which one best preserves:
- the character’s appearance,
- hands,
- text,
- the product,
- composition,
- light,
- brand style.
Character Builder
Character Builder is one of OpenArt’s most important new features in 2026. It lets you design a photorealistic character in a step-by-step process.
The wizard takes into account, among other things:
- the general style of appearance,
- gender,
- visual background,
- age,
- facial features,
- aesthetics,
- reference images.
A character can be created in three main ways:
- Using the wizard and settings.
- Based on a reference image.
- Based on a detailed text prompt.
After the hero is generated, the user gets a space in which they can refine them, create variants and save them for later use.
What has Character Builder changed?
Previously, creating a consistent character often required generating many portraits and training a model on selected photos. The process was time-consuming, and a beginner might not know which images were suitable for the training set.
Character Builder simplifies the start. The user can prepare a character without manually building an entire LoRA model.
This doesn’t mean that training your own model has stopped making sense. Character Builder is good for a quick start to a project. Your own model can give more control with very large-scale production and unusual styles.
Character consistency in OpenArt
Consistency means that the hero keeps recognisable features in subsequent photos and videos.
This mainly concerns:
- face shape,
- eye colour,
- hairstyle,
- age,
- body build,
- proportions,
- distinctive details.
OpenArt lets you save a character and tag it in subsequent image and video processes. This means you don’t have to describe it from scratch every time.
Minor differences may still appear. The manufacturer itself notes that consistency is high, but subsequent generations may show deviations that need correcting.
The biggest problems usually occur with:
- very complicated poses,
- strong profile views,
- a partially covered face,
- intense movement,
- changes of age,
- extremely different lighting,
- long shots,
- several similar characters in one scene.
How to increase character consistency?
It’s worth following a few rules:
- use the saved character,
- add good reference photos,
- keep the basic description of the face,
- don’t change too many elements at once,
- generate several variants,
- control the eyes, hair and proportions,
- avoid random training materials,
- correct selected elements instead of creating the whole thing from scratch.
If a character is to be the basis of a long-term brand, it’s worth preparing a document describing their appearance. In it you can record facial features, style, clothing, proportions and typical locations.
AI Influencer Generator
OpenArt offers a separate process for creating virtual influencers. The user can start from a prompt, a reference image or Character Builder.
After the character is saved, you can place them in subsequent scenes, including:
- lifestyle photos,
- fashion shoots,
- product materials,
- travel videos,
- ads,
- reels,
- YouTube Shorts,
- brand campaigns.
An influencer can also have a described backstory and personality. This information helps maintain the visual direction and the character of the posts.
You can check the possibilities via OpenArt AI Influencer Generator. A character saved on your account can later be used in various image and video models.
How to create an AI influencer in OpenArt?
Define the niche and audience
Before choosing a face, you need to decide why the profile should exist. An influencer can operate in fashion, technology, fitness, travel, beauty, business or education.
Prepare a character sheet
It’s worth defining the name, age, personality, values, way of speaking, appearance, clothing style and content pillars.
Choose how to create
You can use Character Builder, a prompt or a reference image. A beginner will find it easiest to start with the guided wizard.
Generate several versions
Don’t pick the first image. It’s worth checking whether the face looks good from the front, in profile and in a wider frame.
Save the character
After choosing the best version, keep it as a permanent character on your account.
Prepare a library of materials
Before launching the profile, it’s worth generating a portrait, a full-length shot, lifestyle photos, a scene related to the niche and several vertical shots.
Add videos
Selected photos can be animated or used in more extensive video workflows.
Is OpenArt suitable for virtual influencers?
Yes, this is currently one of the platform’s main uses. OpenArt combines three elements needed in such a project:
- Designing a consistent character.
- Generating regular materials.
- Turning the hero into a video character.
The platform will be especially good for people who want to experiment with different aesthetics and models rather than limit themselves to one type of influencer.
OpenArt lets you create photorealistic creators as well as stylised, illustrated, fantasy or anime characters.
Training your own model
OpenArt makes it possible to train personalised models. They can represent a specific character, product, style or other distinctive elements.
The process requires preparing a set of images. The system analyses their common features and creates a model that can later be invoked in subsequent generations.
Your own model can be useful for:
- an influencer brand,
- a digital version of a product,
- a consistent graphic style,
- a story’s hero,
- client materials,
- a large number of campaigns.
How to prepare materials for training?
Photos should be:
- sharp,
- consistent,
- well lit,
- showing different angles,
- free of heavy filters,
- showing the same character,
- free of distortions.
Don’t add random generations in which the face or figure clearly changes. The model may learn the errors and reproduce them in later materials.
Model training is also relatively expensive in credits. It isn’t worth starting it until the final version of the character has been chosen.
AI image editor
OpenArt lets you improve existing images without generating the whole scene from scratch.
You can, among other things:
- remove elements,
- add objects,
- change clothing,
- improve the background,
- modify facial expressions,
- extend the frame,
- change the style,
- improve quality,
- repair a part of the image.
The function is useful when most generations look good but one detail needs changing.
Instead of rejecting an entire photo because of an incorrect object or item of clothing, you can select a fragment and describe the fix.
Creating product photos
OpenArt can be used to create product visualisations and ads.
Possible uses include:
- a product on a new background,
- a lifestyle arrangement,
- a seasonal ad,
- campaign graphics,
- a photo with a virtual model,
- a presentation of several variants,
- social media material.
The biggest problem is preserving the exact appearance of the real product. The generator may change lettering, the logo, the number of elements or the proportions.
That’s why the product should be added as a reference, and the final material must be compared against the real offer.
Does OpenArt generate text correctly?
The quality of lettering depends on the model used. Newer image generators handle legible text better and better, but they can still make mistakes.
When designing an ad or a poster, it’s worth:
- limiting the number of words,
- using a simple slogan,
- checking every letter,
- adding the text manually in an editor if it is key,
- not generating long terms and conditions on the image.
A graphic may look professional and still contain a typo in the brand name. Such material should not be published.
AI video generator
OpenArt offers an extensive set of video tools. The user can start from text, a photo, several reference elements or an existing recording.
Available ways of working include:
- Text to Video,
- Image to Video,
- Elements to Video,
- Video to Video,
- Motion Sync,
- Lip Sync,
- Character Replacement,
- Video Restyle,
- Video Extension,
- Video Upscale.
This means OpenArt can be used both to create new material and to improve or transform an existing video.
Text to Video
The user describes the scene, character, camera movement, light and atmosphere. The chosen model generates a short video based on the prompt.
The function can be used to create:
- ads,
- film scenes,
- shots for music videos,
- animations,
- cutaways,
- product videos,
- social media materials.
The best prompt should define not only the subject but also the way the scene is shown.
Example:
“A photorealistic adult tech influencer stands in a bright futuristic studio, looks into the camera and gestures gently, slow dolly-in, soft light, realistic hair movement, professional ad, vertical 9:16 format.”
Image to Video
Image to Video turns an existing photo into a video. The model analyses the character, background and composition, and then adds movement.
You can animate:
- a portrait,
- a product photo,
- an illustration,
- a landscape,
- a fantasy scene,
- an influencer character,
- an archival photograph.
The prompt should describe mainly the movement, because the look has already been defined by the photo.
Example:
“The character gently turns their head, looks towards the camera and smiles, subtle hair movement, slow camera move forward.”
Elements to Video
Elements to Video lets you use several reference materials, for example a character, a product and a location.
It is useful when the video is meant to contain specific elements rather than a freely generated scene.
You can add:
- a saved character,
- a product photo,
- a background,
- an item of clothing,
- a vehicle,
- a visual style.
The model tries to combine the references according to the user’s description.
The function can be especially interesting for e-commerce. A virtual influencer can present a specific product while keeping their own look.
Video to Video
Video to Video transforms an existing recording. You can keep the movement and composition while changing the style, character or surroundings.
Example uses include:
- turning real footage into animation,
- moving a scene to another world,
- changing an outfit,
- modifying the background,
- stylising a video,
- preparing an ad variant.
The function can deliver more predictable movement than generating from scratch, because it uses an existing recording.
Replace Character
Replace Character lets you swap a person or hero in an existing video for another character.
This can be useful for:
- creating an ad with a virtual ambassador,
- changing an actor in a prototype,
- preparing character variants,
- stylised videos,
- campaign localisation.
The source material should have clear movement and a well-visible character. Complicated occlusions, fast cuts and several people can make the result harder to achieve.
Motion Sync
Motion Sync transfers movement from a reference recording to an AI character.
The function can be used for:
- dance trends,
- workouts,
- gesturing,
- walking,
- showing off clothes,
- short UGC scenes.
You should use your own recordings or materials to which you hold the rights. You should not copy a specific person’s distinctive movements in a way that suggests their participation in an ad.
Lip Sync
Lip Sync matches the character’s lip movement to an audio recording. It can be used to create talking influencers, educational characters and advertising materials.
Good results require:
- clearly visible lips,
- a face turned towards the camera,
- clean audio,
- a reasonable pace,
- short sentences,
- correct pronunciation of names.
You should still watch the whole video. Small synchronisation errors can be particularly noticeable in a close-up of the face.
Smart Shot
Smart Shot is one of the important features being developed in 2026. The user describes a scene in a single prompt, and the system prepares a plan of several shots.
Instead of generating a single static clip, Smart Shot can plan:
- types of frames,
- camera movement,
- successive moments,
- a change of perspective,
- the rhythm of the scene.
The function helps create more cinematic materials without manually designing every frame of a storyboard.
For example, a perfume ad might begin with a wide shot, move to a close-up of the product and end with a detail of the packaging.
Does Smart Shot replace a storyboard?
It can speed up its preparation, but it won’t always replace deliberate planning. The system interprets the prompt and proposes shots, but it doesn’t know all of a campaign’s requirements.
Important information, the logo and the product still have to be checked. Smart Shot is a good starting point, but it shouldn’t make all the creative decisions without oversight.
One-Click Story
One-Click Story helps create whole stories based on an idea, a script or a character.
The platform can prepare:
- successive scenes,
- images,
- heroes,
- narration,
- visual continuity.
The function can be useful for creating:
- comics,
- stories for social media,
- historical videos,
- educational content,
- fantasy materials,
- faceless channels.
A certain indicative number of stories per month is available in the plans. Actual consumption depends on the chosen models and the length of the project.
OpenArt Director
Director is intended for creating more extensive video materials. Depending on the plan, a certain total video length is available.
The Advanced plan includes, indicatively, up to around two minutes of material created by Director, Infinite up to around four minutes, and Wonder up to around seventeen minutes.
This does not mean a single video of that length in every situation. It is an indicative capability resulting from the credit pool and the way the feature works.
Director will be useful for:
- ads,
- short stories,
- music videos,
- promotional materials,
- multi-shot scenes.
OpenArt Worlds
OpenArt Worlds is a feature that lets you create and explore 3D spaces based on a prompt or an image.
The user can move the camera around the generated world and choose a specific angle. They can then add characters and elements and prepare the final image.
The solution is meant to reduce the randomness of composition. Instead of repeatedly generating a scene in the hope that the camera ends up in the right place, the creator can choose the perspective themselves.
OpenArt Worlds can be useful for:
- filmmakers,
- game designers,
- ad creators,
- concept architects,
- authors of fantasy worlds,
- music video producers.
OpenArt VFX
OpenArt is also developing a set of VFX tools designed for modifying existing videos.
Possible uses include:
- changing the background,
- improving lighting,
- swapping characters,
- adding effects,
- transforming the style,
- creating shot variants.
For an agency, this can mean being able to prepare several versions of the same ad without organising the shoot again.
What video models are available?
In 2026, OpenArt gives access to, among others, the following models:
- Seedance 2.0,
- Veo 3.1,
- Kling Omni,
- Sora 2,
- Wan 2.7,
- LTX,
- PixVerse,
- Hailuo.
The offer may change as new versions are released.
The models differ in:
- video length,
- quality,
- audio support,
- character behaviour,
- the ability to use references,
- speed,
- credit cost.
There is no single best choice for all scenes. Veo may be suitable for a realistic ad, Kling for animating characters, and another model for a quick social clip.
OpenArt for Instagram and TikTok videos
The platform can prepare vertical materials, animate characters and create short scenes intended for social media.
OpenArt will work well for:
- Reels,
- TikToks,
- YouTube Shorts,
- UGC videos,
- virtual influencers,
- product presentations,
- short stories,
- animated graphics.
In short videos, however, it isn’t only realism that counts. The material should have a strong opening, a clear topic and the right pace.
A beautiful clip showing a character walking through a futuristic city may look impressive, but without a story or a message it remains merely a moving wallpaper.
OpenArt for YouTube
OpenArt can supply scenes, characters, cutaways, narration and effects needed to produce a YouTube video.
It will work well for channels that are:
- historical,
- narrative,
- educational,
- technology-focused,
- fantasy,
- faceless,
- based on storytelling.
It is not, however, a classic tool for automatically creating a full video from an article in the way Pictory or InVideo AI do.
OpenArt is stronger at generating and controlling visuals. The script, editing and the full structure of the material may still require an additional tool.
Does OpenArt work in Polish?
You can type prompts in Polish, but in many models English may give more accurate results. This stems from the training data of the individual generators, not solely from the OpenArt interface.
It’s worth testing both variants.
To create Polish content, you can use:
- a Polish description of the scene,
- Polish subtitles,
- Polish audio,
- Lip Sync for a recording in Polish,
- your own voice.
The things that need the most attention are brand names, text on images and lip synchronisation with difficult words.
Does OpenArt have a Polish interface?
The main version of the platform is developed primarily in English. Some pages and materials may be available in other languages, but full use of the tools may require knowing basic English terms.
The interface is visual, so once you learn terms such as prompt, reference image, character, upscale and image-to-video, day-to-day work shouldn’t be difficult.
OpenArt pricing 2026
OpenArt offers free trial access and four main paid plans for individual creators:
- Essential,
- Advanced,
- Infinite,
- Wonder.
Prices depend on the billing method. With annual payment, the monthly cost is currently about half that of a monthly subscription.
| Plan | Monthly price | Monthly price with annual billing | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 USD | 0 USD | Limited trial credits |
| Essential | 14 USD | 7 USD | 4000 |
| Advanced | 29 USD | 14,50 USD | 12 000 |
| Infinite | 56 USD | 28 USD | 24 000 |
| Wonder | 240 USD | 120 USD | 106 000 |
Prices and limits were checked in June 2026. Annual promotions may be temporary, so before buying you need to check the amount shown in the payment summary.
Free plan
A new user receives a limited number of trial credits. They let you try premium features and selected models.
The free plan is enough to:
- get to know the interface,
- generate a few images,
- test prompts,
- try simple edits,
- assess selected models.
It is not intended for regularly creating videos and running an influencer.
The generation history on a free account may be stored for a shorter time than in paid plans. It’s worth downloading important files to your own drive.
Essential plan
Essential costs 14 USD per month or the equivalent of 7 USD per month with annual billing.
It includes:
- 4000 credits per month,
- up to around 4000 simple images,
- up to around 50 videos,
- up to around 13 consistent characters,
- up to around five One-Click stories,
- up to around 13 personalised models,
- eight parallel generations,
- access to over 100 models,
- an image editor.
The plan is intended primarily for experimenting and non-commercial work. According to the current terms, full rights to commercial use are explicitly indicated from the Advanced plan.
Essential can be a good choice for someone learning the platform, but a company planning to create ads and materials for clients should check the licence carefully.
Advanced plan
Advanced costs 29 USD per month or around 14,50 USD per month with annual billing.
It includes:
- 12,000 credits per month,
- up to around 12,000 images,
- up to around 150 videos,
- Director for up to around two minutes of material,
- up to around 40 consistent characters,
- up to around 17 stories,
- up to around 40 personalised models,
- 16 parallel generations,
- the option to buy extra credits,
- commercial use rights.
Advanced is the most sensible plan for a freelancer, personal brand or small business. It gives a much higher limit than Essential and lets you legally use the generated materials commercially within the platform’s terms.
Infinite plan
Infinite costs 56 USD per month or 28 USD per month with annual billing.
It includes:
- 24,000 credits per month,
- up to around 24,000 images,
- up to around 300 videos,
- Director for up to around four minutes,
- up to around 80 consistent characters,
- up to around 34 stories,
- up to around 80 personalised models,
- 32 parallel generations,
- the option to buy extra credits,
- commercial rights,
- priority support.
The plan is aimed at active creators, agencies and people who generate videos regularly.
Wonder plan
Wonder costs 240 USD per month or 120 USD per month with annual billing.
It includes:
- 106,000 credits per month,
- up to around 106,000 images,
- up to around 1300 videos,
- Director for up to around 17 minutes,
- up to around 353 consistent characters,
- up to around 150 stories,
- up to around 353 personalised models,
- 32 parallel generations,
- commercial rights,
- priority support,
- 10 percent discount on additional packs,
- unlimited generation in selected models.
Wonder is intended for intensive production, creative teams and agencies. For a single creator publishing a few pieces a week, it will usually be too extensive.
How many images can you really generate?
The numbers given in the pricing are indicative and assume using simple, cheap generations.
Not every image costs one credit. Depending on the feature, the cost may look as follows:
- a simple image in a basic model – around one credit,
- a standard edit – a few credits,
- an image from a trained character – around ten credits,
- advanced upscaling or a tool – a few dozen credits,
- creating a character or training a model – a much larger one-off number of credits.
That’s why 4000 credits doesn’t always mean 4000 finished publications. A person using characters, videos and edits will use up the pool much faster.
How many videos can you really create?
The stated number of videos is also indicative. The cost depends on:
- the model,
- the length,
- the resolution,
- the sound,
- the number of references,
- the number of attempts,
- additional effects.
A simple, short clip can be relatively cheap. A high-quality video generated by a premium model can use significantly more credits.
Before each generation, it’s worth checking the cost shown next to the button that starts the model.
Do credits roll over to the next month?
The basic credits assigned to a subscription do not roll over to the next period. They are renewed according to the account’s billing date.
Additional credits bought in packs may be subject to different rules and stay on the account longer.
It isn’t worth saving the whole monthly pool with a view to using it in a few months. Unused subscription credits may be lost at the next renewal.
Can you buy extra credits?
Additional credits are available as an extension of an active plan, mainly from the Advanced variant.
The pricing page shows an add-on offering 5000 credits per month for around 15 USD. The availability and rules of the packs may change.
Before buying extra credits, it’s worth checking whether a higher plan wouldn’t be more cost-effective.
Does OpenArt offer unlimited generation?
The Wonder plan, and temporarily also selected promotions in Infinite, may include unlimited generation in certain models.
“Unlimited”, however, doesn’t automatically mean access to every model at no cost. It applies to selected generators, the terms of the promotion and fair-use rules.
The most expensive video models may still use credits.
Can OpenArt be used commercially?
OpenArt’s current terms indicate commercial use for the Advanced plan and higher.
This means you can use your own generations in, among other things:
- ads,
- the company’s social media,
- client materials,
- digital products,
- websites,
- marketing campaigns.
You must still hold the rights to all reference materials and comply with the terms of the specific model.
You must not use other people’s marks, characters, photos and likenesses in a way that infringes the owner’s rights.
Does OpenArt give refunds?
According to the current terms, purchases are generally non-refundable. You can cancel the subscription, but access remains active until the end of the paid period.
Proportional refunds for the unused part of a subscription are not provided.
Before buying an annual plan, it’s therefore worth using trial access and checking your own type of projects.
Is the annual plan worth it?
The annual plan is currently much cheaper per month. Essential then costs around 7 instead of 14 USD, and Infinite around 28 instead of 56 USD.
The saving only makes sense, however, if the user will use the platform for the whole year.
A person testing an idea for an influencer can start with the monthly plan. After building a stable workflow, they can switch to annual billing.
OpenArt in 2025 and 2026
The difference between the platform in 2025 and 2026 is significant.
| Area | OpenArt in 2025 | OpenArt in 2026 |

| Characters | References and your own models | Character Builder and saved personas |
| AI influencers | Possible, but requiring more work | A dedicated AI Influencer Generator |
| Videos | Text to Video and Image to Video | Over a dozen video tools |
| Models | Mainly image models and the first video generators | Over 100 image, video and audio models |
| Storytelling | Manual scene building | One-Click Story and Director |
| Camera | Depends on the prompt | Smart Shot and shot planning |
| Worlds | Static images | Navigable OpenArt Worlds |
| Video editing | Basic transformations | VFX, relighting and background change |
| Consistency | Required references or training | Character Builder and saved characters |
| Workflow | Several separate features | OpenArt Suite |
| Business use | Graphics and simple campaigns | Influencers, ads and film production |
In 2025, the user more often had to know more technical processes, such as LoRA training. In 2026, the platform tries to hide part of the complexity behind wizards and ready-made workflows.
OpenArt or MakeInfluencer.ai?
OpenArt and MakeInfluencer.ai can both create virtual characters, but they have different priorities.
| Criterion | OpenArt | MakeInfluencer.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Main specialisation | A comprehensive creative studio | AI influencers and UGC ads |
| Character Builder | Very extensive | A dedicated influencer builder |
| Images | Over 100 image, video and audio models | Selected models tailored to influencers |
| Videos | A very wide range | A process focused on social media |
| Motion Sync | Yes | Motion Control |
| Lip Sync | Yes | Yes, longer materials too |
| Stories | One-Click Story and Director | Less emphasis |
| 3D worlds | OpenArt Worlds | Not a main function |
| UGC | Possible | A dedicated generator |

| For a filmmaker | Very good | Less specialised |
OpenArt will be a better choice for someone who needs a large number of models, creative storytelling and extensive video features.
MakeInfluencer.ai may be more convenient when the main goal is regularly running a virtual persona and producing UGC ads.
OpenArt or Midjourney?
Midjourney is associated primarily with the high aesthetic quality of its images. OpenArt offers a wider set of models and tools for videos, editing and characters.
| Criterion | OpenArt | Midjourney |
|---|---|---|
| Number of models | Over 100 | Mainly its own ecosystem |
| Artistic images | Very good | Very good |

| Video models | A large selection | HeyGen’s integrated solutions |
| Storytelling | Director and One-Click Story | Video Agent |
| For a virtual influencer | Very good | Good for talking materials |

OpenArt will be better for building a visual world and diverse scenes. HeyGen may be better when the character is to speak to the camera regularly and appear in many languages.
OpenArt or InVideo AI?
InVideo AI automates the creation of a complete video with a script, narration, stock footage and music. OpenArt gives you more control over generated scenes and characters.
| Criterion | OpenArt | InVideo AI |

Advantages of OpenArt
Over 100 models in one place
The user can test different generators without maintaining many separate subscriptions.
Character Builder
A character can be prepared using a simpler wizard instead of training a LoRA straight away.
Consistent characters
Saved heroes can be used in subsequent images and videos.
An extensive AI influencer generator
The platform makes it possible to prepare a persona, its backstory and materials for several channels.
Broad video capabilities
Text to Video, Image to Video, Video to Video, Motion Sync and Lip Sync cover many stages of production.
Smart Shot
The system can plan several shots from a single description.
One-Click Story
It helps build stories while keeping the characters and visual direction.
OpenArt Worlds
The user gets more control over the perspective and composition of the world.
Image editing
You don’t have to regenerate the whole scene when one part needs fixing.
Low entry price
The Essential plan costs 14 USD per month, and with annual billing around 7 USD per month.
Monthly plan
You don’t have to pay for several or a dozen or so months straight away.
Commercial rights from Advanced
The plan can be used by companies, freelancers and agencies in accordance with the terms.
Disadvantages and limitations of OpenArt
The large number of features can be overwhelming
A beginner may find it difficult to choose a model and the right workflow.
The credit system is complex
The numbers of images and videos in the pricing are indicative. Premium models use significantly more.
No perfect consistency
Character Builder helps, but a character can still change details.
Videos may contain distortions
Hands, products, lettering and fast movement are especially difficult.
Full commercial use from Advanced
The cheapest plan may not be suitable for client materials and ads.
Subscription credits don’t roll over
The unused pool is reset at the end of the period.
No standard refunds
Buying an annual plan should be well thought through.
Doesn’t replace full editing
OpenArt creates scenes and stories, but a more complex video may still require additional editing.
Polish doesn’t always give the best prompts
Some models may interpret detailed instructions better in English.
Licences also depend on the model
The user should check not only OpenArt’s terms but also the rules of the generator used for production.
Advantages and disadvantages in a table
| Advantages | Disadvantages |
|---|---|
| Over 100 image, video and audio models | Choosing the right model is harder |
| Character Builder | The character still needs checking |
| A dedicated AI Influencer Generator | Not every generation is consistent |
| Text, Image and Video to Video | Premium videos use a lot of credits |
| Motion Sync and Lip Sync | Complicated movement may become distorted |
| Smart Shot | The automatic shot plan needs checking |
| One-Click Story | A longer story uses more credits |
| OpenArt Worlds | A more advanced feature |
| Training your own models | Costs a significant number of credits |
| Plans from 14 USD per month | Commercial use from Advanced |
| Monthly and annual billing | Annual purchases are not subject to standard refunds |
| Commercial rights in higher plans | You still have to check the rights to references |
Who will OpenArt be a good choice for?
OpenArt is worth considering if you:
- are creating an AI influencer,
- need consistent characters,
- generate both images and videos,
- want to test many models,
- are building visual stories,
- are preparing ads,
- run a creative agency,
- create materials for Instagram and TikTok,
- design heroes,
- care about advanced editing,
- don’t want to pay for each model separately.
The greatest value goes to users who genuinely combine several features. Buying the platform just for simple portraits may not use its potential.
Who won’t OpenArt be the best fit for?
The tool may be too extensive for:
- someone who needs a single graphic,
- a user expecting a finished video with narration,
- a creator who needs only video translation,
- a person who doesn’t want to keep track of credits,
- a user requiring a traditional timeline,
- a company that needs one simple avatar,
- a beginner who wants a completely automatic process.
For ready-made videos from text, InVideo AI may be more convenient. For articles, Pictory, and for long statements from a digital presenter, HeyGen.
How to create your first project in OpenArt?
Create an account
Start via OpenArt AI Creator Studio. Trial access lets you check the basic generations.
Choose one goal
Don’t try to test all the features on the first day. Choose creating a character, a product photo or a short video.
Prepare a detailed prompt
Describe the subject, style, light, framing, surroundings and format. Don’t limit the prompt to a single noun.
Choose a suitable model
Read the model’s short description and check the examples. The most expensive generator won’t always be the best.
Generate several variants
Four well-planned images will be more useful than several dozen random attempts.
Refine the best version
Use the editor to change the problematic part instead of building the whole thing from scratch.
Save the character
If the hero is to return, add them to your saved characters and prepare reference materials.
Test a video
Start with a short clip. Check the movement of the face, hands, product and background.
Download the files
Don’t leave the whole project only on the platform’s account. Store important images, videos, prompts and references locally as well.
How to write better prompts for OpenArt?
A good prompt should define:
- the main subject,
- the character’s appearance,
- the surroundings,
- the action,
- composition,
- light,
- the lens,
- the style,
- the mood,
- the aspect ratio.
An image example:
“A photorealistic adult tech influencer, blue eyes, long dark hair, no tattoos or moles, black minimalist suit, sitting at a modern desk, bright tech studio, soft daylight, natural skin, professional lifestyle photography, 50 mm lens, subtle depth of field, vertical 4:5 format.”
A video example:
“The same influencer gently turns her head towards the camera and begins to speak, natural hand gestures, subtle hair movement, slow dolly-in, realistic light, professional tech ad, vertical 9:16 format.”
The most common mistakes in OpenArt
Using one model for everything
Each generator has different strengths. It’s worth testing several solutions.
Generating without references
A character or product may change appearance between scenes.
Training a model too early
Credits get used up on a hero whose concept hasn’t yet been tested.
Publishing the first result
A single generation is rarely the best version.
Upscaling a weak image
Upscale increases resolution, but it doesn’t fix faulty anatomy.
No product control
AI changes the logo, colour or number of elements.
An overly complicated video prompt
The model tries to perform many actions at once and loses consistency.
Not checking the cost
An advanced model uses up a large part of the credits.
The wrong commercial plan
A company uses materials from a plan without clearly defined commercial rights.
No file backups
Important materials stay only in the account’s history.
Copying a real person
A character is based on someone else’s likeness without consent.
No AI label
A realistic influencer is presented as a real human.
Safety and image rights
You should not use OpenArt to impersonate real people, copy their faces or create fake endorsements.
In the case of an AI influencer, it’s worth stating clearly that this is a virtual character. The information can appear in the bio, in the post description or in a label available on the social platform.
When creating ads, you must hold the rights to:
- reference photos,
- products,
- logos,
- music,
- voice,
- likeness,
- input material.
The technical ability to generate content doesn’t automatically mean the right to publish it.
Is OpenArt suitable for agencies?
Yes. The platform can reduce the number of separate subscriptions and give the team access to many models.
An agency can use OpenArt for:
- ad concepts,
- brand characters,
- product photos,
- UGC materials,
- storyboards,
- videos,
- campaign variants,
- testing styles,
- creating content for clients.
It is important, however, to keep a record of costs. The credit model means that one project may use significantly more resources than another.
Is OpenArt worth using in 2026?
OpenArt is one of the most versatile environments for creators using images, videos and consistent characters. The platform doesn’t limit the user to one model and lets you take a project through several stages without constantly switching apps.
The biggest advantages are Character Builder, AI Influencer Generator, access to over 100 models, extensive video tools and storytelling features.
The biggest limitation is the credit system. The numbers of images and videos given in the pricing are indicative. A user relying on premium models, character training and videos will use up the pool much faster than someone generating basic images.
Compared with 2025, OpenArt has become much more complete. It is no longer just a place for creating graphics. In 2026 it can handle a character, a world, a story, a video, a voice and later editing.
For a creator or company, the most sensible option will usually be Advanced. It offers a larger credit pool, the ability to buy more and commercial rights. Essential can serve for learning and non-commercial projects, while Infinite will be suitable for regular video production.
It’s best to test OpenArt on your own character or product. In your first project, it’s worth creating one portrait, three scenes with the same character and a short video. Such a test will show more than several dozen random generations.
OpenArt review 2026 – summary
OpenArt is a comprehensive AI studio for generating and editing images, videos, characters and sounds. The platform offers over 100 models and tools that let you go from an idea to a consistent project.
The biggest advantages include Character Builder, AI Influencer Generator, consistent characters, Smart Shot, One-Click Story, OpenArt Worlds and a wide choice of video models.
The most important limitations are a complex credit system, no guarantee of perfect consistency, heavy resource use by premium videos and the need to use at least the Advanced plan for commercial uses.
OpenArt will be a particularly good choice for creators of AI influencers, agencies, filmmakers, storytellers, brands and people who generate both images and videos.
You can get started via OpenArt AI Creator Studio. Before choosing an annual plan, it’s worth testing a few models and checking the real credit consumption in your own workflow.
